When we store wool felt, we should choose a cool and ventilated place, and felt manufacturers remind us that there are many precautions when cleaning wool felt.
Because wool felt is not alkali-resistant, neutral detergent without enzyme should be used for washing with water, so use special wool detergent as far as possible. If you use a washing machine to wash, you should use a drum washing machine and choose a gentle program; but if it is hand-washed, it is best to gently rub and wash, not using a washboard. You can also use squeeze washing, avoid twisting, squeeze to remove water, spread it out in the shade, or fold it in half and hang it in the shade; when it is wet or semi-dry, it can remove wrinkles and avoid exposure to the sun.
If the wool felt is stained with local slight stains, you can try to dip a towel in a neutral laundry detergent, or use a special detergent aqueous solution for silk and wool to gently wipe the surface of the wool.
